Rous Public School is situated on the Alstonville Plateau. The school has significant links and partnerships with the surrounding communities, including The Southern Cross Community of Small Schools (SCCSS).
The school has a population of 97 students. Our priorities include developing differentiated programs to personalise our teaching and learning programs, excellence in literacy and numeracy, and a dynamic creative arts program.
The school enjoys strong enthusiastic support from our beautiful community which values consultation, creativity, and collaboration. Our students are at the heart of every decision that is made. We are a family, who cares and supports one another.
Our amazing playground is surrounded by native trees and wildlife. Our local koalas come and visit us often. They are an important part of our school community.
Student wellbeing is very important at Rous Public School, where every child is known, valued, and cared for. Our children learn to be safe, respectful learners in every part of the school.
