Rous does it again!
Rous Public School ventured to Sydney on Wednesday 21st September 2022, to play in the finals of the Small Schools Division 3 Knockout.
This isn’t the first time the school has made it this far in the competition and had the privilege to play at Valentine Sports Park in Glenwood.
In fact, Rous Public School are effectively the defending champions, after taking out the competition in 2019. The last two years have been cancelled, due to COVID.
The division 3 competition is for schools across the state, with enrolments of 61-100 students.
Under the rules of the competition, the team is made up of both boys and girls, ranging from Year 3 to 6.
The team has had three convincing wins so far defeating Clunes PS, Dungay PS and venturing out to Glen Innes to meet in the middle, defeating Tintinhull PS, from near Tamworth.
The boys and girls have really combined as a team and this has been evident in the results and their enthusiasm to progress further in the competition.
Happy to say we won the Grand Final against Booral PS. The whole school community is abuzz and so proud of the team.
